History of Sound on Wheels
Founded June of 1977, Sound on Wheels came to Huntsville in 1979 - becoming Huntsville's first stereo shop! We have been an Alpine dealer since Alpine came to the US in 1978 and held our place as the top producing South East Dealer for 6 years in a row (1978-1984). Keeping true in our ability to identify with quality companies and product, Sound on Wheels also became one of the founding 50 JL Audio dealers in the United States. In addition, we also carry Directed Electronics (Viper/Python/Hornet/Valet etc), Pioneer Premier, Total Mobile Audio, Kenwood, JVC, VST, and many, many more! Being the oldest car stereo shop in Huntsville has given us the opportunity to establish great relationships with many different brands and businesses in the mobile electronic industry. If it’s audio, we can get it - and if you can imagine it, we can build it!
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is willing to answer any questions you may have regarding cars, boats, motorcycles, and just about anything else you want to upgrade! Our MECP and ASE certified technicians are well trained on all types of vehicles including such names as Porsche, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and many more. Many shops are hesitant to service these vehicles, but we have made them our specialty!
We also provide window tinting services (by appointment only) available to our clients performed by one of Huntsville’s most reputable tinters. Our tint and services come with a full lifetime installation warranty!**
